The S2 Forged irons will receive the new N.S. Pro 1130 Tour shaft, which is designed to provide optimum trajectory and increased control for the better player. The 1130 weighs 113 grams. Better players will appreciate the S2 Forged irons because they offer superior control, increased distanced, and an outstanding forged feel. Moreover, the Cobra S2 Forged feature a Tour-inspired shape and design that appeals to skilled players.
“Nippon Shaft is very proud of its relationship with Cobra, whose products represent the cutting edge of technology,” Fukuda said. ‘The combination of Cobra’s advanced technology and unique design combined with Nippon Shaft’s premium lightweight steel shafts can make a positive difference in how golfers at all levels practice and play.”
Cobra first utilized Nippon Shaft as a stock steel shaft product in 2005 and has done so ever since.
“Cobra Golf selected Nippon Shaft for its new Cobra S2 and the S2 Forged irons because of the company’s consistent commitment to high quality and performance,” Zender said.
Nippon Shaft is the No. 1-selling steel shaft in Asia with more than 80 percent of the market and ranks No. 2 in North America. Currently, more than 100 touring professionals worldwide use Nippon Shaft products, resulting in more than 50 victories in the last four years, Fukuda said.
