Florida-based Company Awarded Top Industry Honors for Magazine Re-launch
ORLANDO, Fla., (Sept. 30, 2009) – Turnstile Publishing Company has received top honors for marketing excellence, winning the coveted 2009 Integrated Marketing Award in the category of Total Integrated Program for Launch. Presented by Media Industry Newsletter (min) – the media industry’s leading publication and the authoritative source on media business – the prestigious award recognized Turnstile’s in-house marketing group for its exceptional work publicizing the re-launch of Golfweek magazine, the publishing company’s flagship publication.
Combining a variety of unique and highly targeted marketing, advertising and public relations programs, Turnstile’s award-winning campaign featured a multifaceted approach that served to not only promote Golfweek’s new redesign, but also reiterate the publication’s position as the most respected consumer magazine for serious golfers. The successful program – which was carried out from concept to completion by Turnstile’s four-person marketing team, consisting of Elizabeth Hawkins (Marketing Director), Mari Ani Camchong (Lead Graphic Designer), Kayla Harris (Marketing Assistant) and Andrew Dietrich (Graphic Designer) – was selected from a diverse pool of notable competitors, including Honorable Mention-recipient Washingtonian magazine.
“Our marketing team consistently delivers top-quality work each and every day,” said Clayton Morris, president of Turnstile Publishing Company and publisher of Golfweek, “but to have their achievements recognized alongside the accomplishments of some of the biggest and best publications in the world is truly an honor and a thrill.”
min’s Integrated Marketing Awards salute the very best campaigns, ongoing programs and innovative practitioners who have raised the bar on magazine marketing programs. The awards recognize the creative ways in which marketers are trying to reach audiences, and its winners set the benchmark for what magazines can do for their clients. In addition to Turnstile Publishing Company, other 2009 Integrated Marketing Award winners include Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Hearst Integrated Media, Newsweek, Cosmopolitan, Playboy and Gourmet Magazine.
“The Integrated Marketing Awards finalists underscore the power and partnerships between agencies, advertisers and magazine brands to serve their audiences in smarter and more engaging ways,” said min Vice President/Group Publisher Diane Schwartz.
