Eleven KemperSports properties listed among top-50 public, private and resort courses
NORTHBROOK, Ill., Oct. 5, 2009 – KemperSportsTM announced today that 11 of its properties have been honored by Golf World in its 2010 Readers’ Choice Awards. The list, which was published in the Sept. 28 issue of the magazine, utilized a six-month online voting period that was completed by Golf World readers to determine the top-50 golf courses in the public, private and resort categories.
More than 46,000 votes were cast and more than 600,000 criteria evaluations were made to compile the second annual list. Voters were asked to provide a number value based on the following criteria: quality of course, condition of course, reputation/prestige, practice facility, speed of play, clubhouse/locker room, hotel accommodations, caddie program, pro shop, food/dining, off-course amenities, service and overall value.
“It is a true honor to have such a large number of our facilities listed by the Golf World Readers’ Choice Awards,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “The awards are made more meaningful by the fact that this is the people’s vote.”
