First and second place finishers of Turning Stone Resort Classic use Aldila shafts
POWAY, Calif. – Winning the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts on both the PGA and Nationwide Tours again this week kept Aldila on top as the number one shaft on Tour, according to the Darrell Survey.
“The Hottest Shafts In Golf” were in such high demand that for the first time they captured the wood shaft count on the Nationwide Tour by nearly a 2 to 1 margin over the next leading competitor. Led by their number one shaft, the VooDoo®, Aldila also dominated the hybrid counts on the PGA and Nationwide Tours capturing both counts by more than a 2 to 1 margin over the next leading manufacturer.
Not only has Aldila had more total wood shafts in play on the PGA and the Nationwide Tours in 2009 than any other graphite shaft manufacturer, but they also were the leading wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer of choice at the Masters, the U.S. Open, the British Open and the PGA Championship in 2009, according to the Darrell Survey. Aldila has also been the top wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer at every FedEx Cup event for two straight years.
At the Turning Stone Resort Championship on the PGA Tour this week, “The Hottest Shafts in Golf” were in play by both the winner and second place finisher. After six playoff holes that spilled over into Monday, the winner posted his second career Tour victory with the help of Aldila’s NV. The runner up was playing Aldila’s VooDoo in his Driver, 3-wood and 4-wood.
