JACKSONVILLE, FL (October 7, 2009) – The road to a college golf scholarship has never been more difficult. More golfers, juniors and amateurs alike, have set their sights on earning a scholarship to college by virtue of their skills on the fairways. And the competition grows stronger every year. Of course, one of the main keys to earning a college golf scholarship is to shoot low scores. But, there’s so much more to the college game. Not only are low scores a key ingredient, but juniors and amateurs have to shoot low scores in the tournaments recruiters are most likely to attend. Juniors and Amateurs also need to know how to evaluate a college golf program, and determine whether or not a particular college and/or coach is a good fit for their game. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg!
When it comes to the college game, every decision is MAJOR, and now there’s help for juniors, amateurs, and their parents. The Tour Resource Center, a new website created to help golfers at all levels of the game by providing the resources and tools needed to help them improve their game, has published a multi-part series, “TRC College Golf Basics Tutorial Series” which will cover the following topics:
Introduction to the Basics of College Golf
Playing College Golf: Important Information to Know
How to Find a College Golf Scholarship
Minority Scholarships
The Recruiting Process
College Golf Coaches
Is College Golf For Everyone? What is it like playing on a college golf team?
Selecting the Right College Golf Coach, College Golf Team, and College/University campus
The information provided in this series is a “must-read” for any golfer looking to play college golf, and it is only available on www.tourresourcecenter.com.
