Lakewood, Colorado, Oct. 21, 2009 – CourseVision announced today that it has been selected to be a member of KemperSports Preferred Vendor Program. Under the agreement, CourseVision’s complete property mapping solution will be made available to all KemperSports-owned and managed properties.
Jim Seeley, executive vice president for KemperSports said, “CourseVision provides our courses the option of accurate and cost effective mapping that can be of tremendous value as they progress through the various levels of our Green to a Tee™ environmental program”
KemperSports’ Green to a Tee program is a culmination of the company’s 30-year history of environmental responsibility and encompasses environmentally focused initiatives within several core areas of facility operations, including:
Golf course maintenance
Habitat management
Water conservation
Energy usage
Recycling
“Green” vendor utilization
Staff education and training
In addition to formalizing the company’s policy on environmental practices at both the corporate and property levels, the Green to a Tee program arms the more than 5,000 KemperSports staffers throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico with tools and training in environmentally-friendly practices that they can implement on the job and in their homes.
Todd Gilles, the Superintendent at Hiddenbrooke Golf Club in Vallejo, Calif., is one of the early KemperSports users for CourseVision. He commented that, “CourseVision instantly provided me with a complete inventory of my property including all the necessary data for my environmental certification effort. It saved Hiddenbrooke thousands of dollars versus the GPS mapping we were contemplating and required none of my staff’s time.”
“We are excited to work with KemperSports,” said Rich Williamson, a partner with CourseVision. “We believe that this relationship demonstrates that CourseVision is a cost effective, go to source for golf course superintendents and management companies who want a complete inventory of their golf course property for both operational efficiencies and environmental certification efforts.”
