Honma Introduces New Women’s Woods

October 22, 2009

HONMA releases its third-generation BERES 5-Series woods for ladies. Built on the platform of thin-construction circular arched crown has a shallower back than the previous model the ML512; the crown design provides an enhanced energy transfer at impact, thus resulting in a high trajectory and increased carry as weight is further repositioned to lower the CG.

The driver face design features rounded corners in a near-oval face shape. By rendering all surfaces flexible, the sweet spot is enlarged considerably with the “Hyper cross” face. The construction cuts down on loss caused by missed shots, making it very forgiving.

The fairway woods feature a rectangular face shape, which widen the face area that works to reduce loss of distance on off-center hits. In addition the shallow-back shape and varying face thickness helps women with less strength to increase trajectory and distance.

The ML513 is available in four grades; 2-Star grade (MSRP $900/club) (pictured) to the ultra premium 5-Star grade (MSRP $4,395/club) featuring its Platinum (pt1000) and Gold (24k) embellishments. ML513 woods are available in two driver lofts (11.5 & 13.0), as well as a full complement of fairway woods #3,# 5, #7 and #9 woods.

HONMA’s ultra light-weight New ARMRQ UD40 shafts (40 grams) are employed in the ML513 woods featuring four-axis carbon shafts with increased flexure and kickback thereby increasing ball speed at impact to produce tremendous carry.
