PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL, October 22, 2009 – Pinehurst has renewed its sponsorship as a supporting partner of the EWGA (Executive Women’s Golf Association). The resort, with eight world-famous championship golf courses, will host the EWGA National Conference on April 7 through 10, 2010.
Celebrating its strong heritage in promoting women’s golf, the resort also is offering EWGA members a special 20% discount on all golf packages as well as a 20% discount on any service or treatment in The Spa at Pinehurst. These offers are based on availability and will end on March 31, 2010.
A 2008 survey of EWGA members conducted by the PGA of America found that the average EWGA member plays 32 rounds of golf and spends $4296 on golf activities, merchandise and golf related travel. Each local EWGA chapter annually generates $602,900 in golf related spending. With over 125 chapters, the EWGA represents nearly $75 million in revenue for golf and related industries.
“We are excited to be returning to Pinehurst for our annual conference and greatly appreciate their continuing support of the EWGA and women’s golf,” says Pam Swensen, CEO of the EWGA. “It’s a world class destination that every golfer must experience, and then will want to return to again and again.”
