ORLANDO, Fla. – October 21, 2009…Marriott Golf, one of the world’s premier golf operators, today announced that Shadow Ridge Golf Club in Palm Desert, Calif., was recognized as one of the Top 50 Resort Golf Facilities in the country, according to Golf World magazine’s 2010 Reader’s Choice Awards. The 2nd annual Reader’s Choice Awards acknowledged Shadow Ridge as the #41 best resort golf facility in the country, based on the overall golf experience, including the quality and condition of the course, the amenities that are offered and the overall value provided to golfers.
Shadow Ridge Golf Club was joined by Marriott’s Kauai Lagoons Golf Club in Lihue, Hawaii (#50), another Marriott Golf managed property in the 2010 Reader’s Choice Award. Golf World’s Readers’ Choice Awards are based solely on reader input gathered by Golf Digest Publications’ Research Resource Center via an online poll conducted in 2008 and 2009. The 12 criteria utilized by voters were Quality of Course, Condition of Course, Reputation/Prestige of Facility, Practice Facilities, Pace of Play, Clubhouse/Locker Room facilities, Hotel/Room Accommodations, Golf Shop, Dining, Off Course Activities, Service and Overall Value.
