SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The OB Sports National Team Championship presented by GPS Industries will be held on Friday, November 13 through Sunday, November 15, 2009 in the Las Vegas, Nevada area. The first round of the two-round competition will be played at Aliante Golf Club in North Las Vegas on Saturday, November 14th, and the second round will be played at The Legacy Golf Club in Henderson the following day. An opening welcome reception on Friday will be hosted by Angel Park Golf Club, in Las Vegas.
Each participating OB Sports-managed golf club,13 total from throughout the U.S., will field an eight-person team (grouped together in four, two-person teams) made up of seven qualifiers from the club and the club’s golf professional. Daily prizes will be awarded to the top three two-person teams from each flight (Scratch Flight, low gross 1st, 2nd, 3rd place; A Flight, low net 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and B Flight, low net 1st, 2nd, 3rd place). In addition, a prize will be awarded for the overall OB Sports Team Championship: each of the 13 teams posts its best three, two-person-team net scores, across both days of competition, and the team with the lowest net score is crowned overall champion.
