PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (November 11, 2009) – Tony Leodora, host of the award-winning GolfTalk Live radio show, has authored a series of stories on one of the favorite facets of the game of golf – The Road Trip. The series of stories will appear beginning Wednesday, November 11 in the Blog Section of the GolfTalk Live website – www.golftalklive.net.
Beginning with a hilarious essay on the evolution of The Golf Road Trip, Leodora then adds other stories that were gleaned from this year’s week-long trip to Myrtle Beach with a total of 32 players. Other stories include: “The Grass is Always Greener …”, “New Reviews of Five Old Courses”, and “Competing for Bragging Rights”. The stories will be released on the Blog on successive days after the series begins.
“Golfers become attracted to the game of golf for many reasons,” explains Leodora. “But it is that first golf road trip that actually hooks them on the game. Spending a few days, playing great courses with good friends is addictive. I made my first road trip 25 years ago and have been repeating the ritual, sometimes three and four times a year, every year since.”
The GolfTalk Live website, which hosts the Blogs written by Leodora and an assortment of guest writers, is one of the fastest growing golf websites in America. In its first full month, June of 2008, it received more than 4,000 hits. In July of 2009, the same site recorded more than 144,000 hits.
GolfTalk Live, which airs 52 weeks a year from 7 to 8 a.m. each Saturday on WNTP 990-AM and on www.wntp.com, is an interview-driven golf show that has grabbed national attention. At the PGA Merchandise Show in 2008, GolfTalk Live was voted America’s Best Golf Radio Show by the prestigious International Network of Golf.
Now it continues in its fourth year, bringing listeners throughout the Delaware Valley the best in golf coverage, golf entertainment and golf lifestyle.
