HONMA releases its third-generation BERES 6-Series woods for senior men and stronger lady players. Built on the platform of ultra-thin construction circular arched crown has an even shallower back than the previous model the MG612; the crown design provides an enhanced energy transfer at impact, thus resulting in a high trajectory and increased carry as weight is further repositioned to lower the CG. The synergistic effect of these changes produces the optimal strike angle and spin. This creates an effortless high trajectory for senior golfers and those with less strength.
Widening the face toward the sole creates a rectangular shape. Rendering all surfaces flexible, the sweet spot is enlarged considerably with the “Hyper cross” face. This construction cuts down on loss caused by missed shots, making it very forgiving.
The fairway woods feature a rectangular face shape, which widen the face area that works to reduce loss of distance on off-center hits. In addition the shallow-back shape and varying face thickness helps women with less strength to increase trajectory and distance.
The MG613 is available in four grades; 2-Star grade (MSRP $900/club) (pictured) to the ultra premium 5-Star grade (MSRP $4,395/club) featuring its Platinum (Pt1000) and Gold (24k) embellishments. MG613 woods are available in two driver lofts (10.5 & 11.5), as well as a full complement of fairway woods #3,# 5, #7 and #9 woods.
HONMA’s ultra light-weight New ARMRQ UD45 shafts are employed in the MG613 woods featuring four-axis carbon shafts with increased flexure and kickback thereby increasing ball speed at impact to produce tremendous carry.
