How would you like a chance for a free trip to Thailand to experience the chance of a lifetime in representing your country in a world-wide competition?
The 2010 World Golfers Championship has been scheduled Oct. 30-Nov. 6 in the Hua-Hin resort area, a former fishing village and retreat for the royal Thai family located two hours south of Bangkok that today is a true golfer’s paradise.
Hosting the event for 250+ golfers from more than 30 countries will be Black Mountain Golf Club, Banyan Golf Club, Imperial Lake View Golf Club and Palm Hills Golf Club.
Five golfers from different handicap categories-0-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20 and 21-25-will earn positions on the United States team in a special 36-hole qualifying tournament at a site to be named this fall, according to Anders Bengtson.
First, golfers will have to survive qualifying rounds at their own golf courses to get spots in the U.S. finals. Golf clubs or associations interested in hosting qualifying events should go to
www.worldgolfersusa.com for additional details on how to enter.
In the 15th edition of the World Golfers Championship last month in Marbella, Spain, the team from Indonesia claimed the championship while the U.S. finished 22nd.
