FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 19, 2009
Ed Mitchell, President of Mitchell® Golf Equipment Institute, Dayton, OH announced today a realignment of its popular training schools. Beginning in January 2010 the club repair and advanced shaft schools will be combined into one 5-day certified Club Repair Performance School. This school offers the industry’s most advanced training in club repair using recognized tour van techniques with Mitchell Golf’s tools and machines, advanced shaft performance installation, frequency matching and club assembly.
The popular 3-day Club Repair Technician School will continue to be offered with an updated curriculum. It offers advanced training in tour van club repair skills, basic shaft installation and club assembly techniques.
The 3-day Club Performance Fitting School has been updated and expanded with modern technology and uses multiple launch monitors. It teaches modern fitting techniques using the latest technology. In addition it can be combined with a 2-day Putter Performance Fitting School for a comprehensive 5-day total club fitting learning experience.
The new Putter Performance Fitting School combines putter fitting and putting stroke techniques to teach students how to produce tour results for their golfers. It uses multiple putter monitor technologies to illustrate the proper stroke and ball roll results. Students learn the value of correctly fitted putters and how to use counter balancing, training aids and putting drills to achieve the best performance fit.
Ed Mitchell states, “We have realigned our schools to keep pace with modern technology and the increased demand for enrollment. Our new school formats teach recognized industry methods and techniques and share the latest performance knowledge about modern golf clubs.”
All training schools are conducted at the Mitchell® Golf Equipment Institute facility featuring a state-of-the-art club repair lab furnished with Mitchell® Golf’s professional grade club performance repair equipment, a classroom, a specialized performance-fitting center with a multiple station hitting bay and putting studio outfitted with launch monitors and putter fitting monitors. In addition, a break room, show room and office provide the perfect learning experience.
Graduating students receive Certificates of Training for successfully completing each training school. The certification enhances the credibility and value of PGA Professionals, Assistant Professionals, Teaching Professionals, Retailers, Club Makers, Club Fitters and Club Repair Technicians who successfully complete the lab work and written exams.
Bill Kumle, PGA Professional and Director of Instruction states, “Our new alignment of schools offer a great learning experience for industry professionals.
