NORTHBROOK, Ill., Nov. 23, 2009 – KemperSports, a premier golf facility management company, announced today that Terry Hanley has been promoted and will assume responsibilities as regional operations director with oversight of KemperSports-managed facilities in Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

A well-respected member of the Chicago golf and club community for more than a decade, Hanley has been with KemperSports since 2002, when he became the general manager for Bolingbrook Golf Club. During his tenure at Bolingbrook, he was directly responsible for leading a successful team of more than 250 staffers as well as contributing to the numerous accolades that the golf club has received including:
• Golf World Readers’ Choice Awards 2009 – No. 29 public golf course in America
• Golfweek – 2009 Best Courses You Can Play List
• Golf Digest – 2007 Best Places to Play – 4 ½ stars
• GOLF magazine – 2003 Top-10 New Courses You Can Play

In recent years, Hanley has expanded his role outside of the day-to-day operations of Bolingbrook Golf Club with oversight and management of the Buckingham Athletic Club in Chicago, Ill., and the development and launch of The Golf Club at Harbor Shores, an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Design Golf Course on the shores of Lake Michigan in Benton Harbor, Mich., set to open in summer 2010.

“Terry is a very strong leader who has performed well in each step in his career,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “The excitement, passion and customer service focus he will bring to this new position will serve him and our clients well.”

Hanley has received numerous honors as a member of the KemperSports team, including being named the KemperSports General Manager of the Year in 2005 as well as a “Most Admired Operator” by Golf Inc. in 2006.
