Superstition Mountain, Ariz. – The award-winning, 36-hole Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club announced today that it will make one golf course each day available for “Member-for-a-Day” starting times through the addition of a new membership plan that allows for daily fee play opportunities. The second course will remain exclusive for permanent member play. Golf course use for the two membership categories will rotate daily between The Prospector and Lost Gold layouts. Until now the prestigious 11 year-old private club, located east of Phoenix at the base of the Superstition Mountains, has been exclusively available to members and their guests.

Starting times are available and current rates will range from $120 to $180, ($90 to $110 for Arizona residents). Starting time reservations can be made by calling the golf shop at 480-983-1411. Membership opportunities are also available with initiation fees starting as low as $15,000 for a full golf membership.
In the current economic climate, the creation of more accessible forms of membership have quickly become an industry-wide trend as clubs look for additional revenue sources outside of member play.
Superstition Mountain Golf Club features two Nicklaus Design golf courses, The Prospector and Lost Gold. The Prospector Golf Course, which opened in 1998, combined the creative skills of Jack Nicklaus and his son Gary. Prospector has been the site of the 2002 Countrywide Tradition tournament and the home of the LPGA Safeway International from 2004 to 2008.
In 1999, Jack Nicklaus teamed with son Jack Jr. to design The Lost Gold course at Superstition Mountain. The links-style course offers generous fairways, slightly smaller greens (compared to The Prospector) and strategic bunker placements.
