THP kicks the year off right with Huge Equipment Testing Event
TAMPA BAY, FL – (November 23, 2009) – The Hackers Paradise (www.thehackersparadise.com), the premier destination on the internet to discuss all things golf, announced their Pre-PGA Merchandise Show Driver Shoot Out. THP will once again take equipment testing to another level with a new shoot out platform and record viewership.
“Our Shoot Outs that we hold on our site garner some of the most attention we get all year,” said THP president Josh Babbitt. “We decided to announce this shoot out now because we are currently experiencing our highest traffic numbers ever due to our THP 12 Days of Holiday Cheer Contest. Judging by the results we achieved with our Putter, Wedge, and Hybrid Shoot outs this year, we wanted to kick the new year off with a bang.”
The THP Shoot Out formula is a simple one. Take the drivers from each company and let consumers try them out and measure things such as distance, accuracy, look, and feel with certain categories being weighted more heavily because in the end, it is about performance. THP uses the same golf ball for every tester and a Bushnell distance measuring device for every swing. Commitments are coming in fast as Cleveland, Srixon, Taylormade, Bridgestone, Adams, and more have already confirmed their spots. Invitations have been sent out to over 20 leading equipment companies.
More than 75,000 readers tuned in for the results of the hybrid and wedge shoot out and for the driver challenge, THP expects the number to hit 6 figures in just the first few weeks. Unlike other ranking services, THP lets readers “get to know” the participants by having bios and interviews up with the people involved. Every shoot out is broken down into handicap groups with low, mid, and high handicaps all being represented so that consumers can identify with certain sectors of the event. Not a single tester in the shoot out platform is affiliated with THP or an equipment company. Strictly volunteers in the local area.
“Not a single driver we test will be a bad product, in fact they will all be great products”, said Josh Babbitt. “It is our goal to educate consumers and show that there are choices out there when it comes to picking equipment. We expect participation with this event to be at an all time high with the equipment companies and expect every major manufacturer to want to be involved. In the end it is about reaching consumers and we think that events like this do that very well.”
THP will be discussing the Driver Shoot Out Participants on their guest radio spots beginning December 1st. You will be able to hear them on ESPN Radio and Fox Sports Radio discussing each company involved in the event. If you would like your equipment represented in the event, please contact The Hackers Paradise. THP will make sure that every company is appropriately represented in gearing up for the event in radio spots and promotions.
The Hackers Paradise is quickly becoming the destination for consumers to read about the world of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories while at the same time having a blast entering some fun contests and winning some great stuff along the way. So many websites now are throwing traffic numbers up at companies to try and draw them in to advertising dollars. THP has no advertising by policy, so the smoke and mirrors is not necessary.
Unlike other golf websites, THP produces original reviews daily ranging from the latest in men’s and women’s equipment, apparel, accessories, footwear, tees, distance measuring devices, instructional aids and more. Because THP does not accept advertising from OEM’s or other golf-related companies, readers can be sure each review is thorough and unbiased. Earlier this year, THP announced the arrival of its inaugural golf magazine, which will debut in December.
