JUPITER, Fla. – Cool Clubs Golf of Scottdale, Ariz., owned by custom fitting pioneer Mark Timms, is the lastest facility to install the SST PURE SPECS Shaft Alignment System.
Cool Clubs, an existing SST PURE licensee, upgraded from the manual SST PURE machine to the automated version in order to streamline production time and PURE virtually every club they produce. In addition to PURE aligning shafts, the new SST technology also measures torque and shaft straightness in a matter of seconds. These new parameters of measurement can take shaft analysis to even greater levels of accuracy and speed.
“Cool Clubs and Mark Timms have long been fantastic partners with SST, and adding the PURE SPECS automated system is just the next step in that relationship,” SST founder Dick Weiss said. “This system was developed for just this scenario – a high quality, high volume clubmaking operation that demands on delivering nothing less than the best to its customers.”
Founded in 2007, Cool Clubs uses the latest state-of-the-art technology to offer the ultimate in clubfitting and club building. With more than 20 years’ experience in pushing the envelope of golf club performace, Timms continues to build on his reputation with players and major international club and shaft manufacturers.
The patented SST PURE® Shaft Alignment System currently is used by more than 200 professional golfers on the PGA, Champions and European Tours. Using proprietary computer software and sensitive data-acquisition sensors, the SST PURE® shaft alignment process analyzes the structural irregularities that exist to some degree in every golf shaft and locates the shaft’s most stable orientation. By assembling the club with the shaft in its SST PURE® orientation, off-line bending and twisting of the shaft are minimized and impact repeatability on the center of the clubface by the golfer improves measurably. The process can be performed on existing clubs, new clubs or new shafts – steel or graphite – from all major manufacturers.
Cool Clubs is one of more than 60 licensed SST PURE distributors in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia. Other golf facilities or custom clubmakers which are interested in offering SST PURE shaft alignment technology to their customers should contact Gary Sheppard at 817.966.0908 orgary@sstpure.com.
