Fans Have Unique Opportunity to Caddy for World Renowned Celebrities At the Famed PGA TOUR Stop

(December 3, 2009 – Coral Springs, FL) – Caddy For A Cure, Inc., the professional golf opportunity of a lifetime to go inside the ropes and caddy at PGA TOUR venues is coming to Pebble Beach, this time, with unique and exciting celebrity opportunities. Fans will have the opportunity to caddy during the 3M Celebrity Challenge with all proceeds raised going to charity. The opportunities could include celebrities such as last year’s participants Justin Timberlake, Ray Romano, Bill Murray, George Lopez, Kenny G, Michael Bolton, Chris O’Donnell, Huey Lewis, Chris Berman, Kevin James, Greg Kinnear and Andy Garcia.
The 3M Celebrity Challenge is on Wednesday, February 10th during the 2010 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro Am tournament week and will be played on five holes of the famous Pebble Beach Golf Links course. The holes that will be played are: #1, #2, #3, #17 and #18. Competition for the AT&T Pro Am tournament will begin on Thursday, February 11th and will be played thru Sunday, February 14th.
Caddy For A Cure offers PGA TOUR player and celebrity caddy opportunities through its website (www.caddyforacure.com) and eBay auctions. 100% of auction proceeds are donated to charity, including to the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund, the Wounded Warrior Project and the PGA TOUR Caddie Benevolent Fund.
“We are excited to launch this unique program that directly supports our charitable mission,” states Ollie Nutt, president & CEO of the Monterey Peninsula Foundation. “This year marks not only AT&T’s 25th anniversary as title sponsor, but it is 3M’s 50th year as a tournament sponsor, so the timing is excellent.”
Russ Holden, Caddy For A Cure founder and veteran PGA TOUR caddy added, “It is such an honor to be coming to this event with these caddy opportunities. To launch our celebrity program at Pebble Beach during the 3M Celebrity Challenge is a perfect fit given the charitable history and heart of the event. We think it’s an especially exciting opportunity to be inside the ropes at a venue like Pebble Beach which is not only so deep in tournament history, but is the host site for the 2010 U.S. Open. The winning caddies will be among the world’s best PGA TOUR players who will very likely be here during the week, preparing early for the Open.” He concluded, “We always look forward to providing our caddy participants with experiences they will never forget, and the 3M Celebrity Challenge will be just that. It’s a great way for fans to make a difference in the lives of many people who really need it through the great game of golf.”
