PGA Merchandise Show salute to 100 Best Golf Shops includes One Flew South performance
ORLANDO-Golf World magazine’s 25th annual selection of America’s 100 Best Golf Shops headlines a
Jan. 27, 2010 reception during the PGA Merchandise Show at the Orange County Convention Center. The event, which begins at 5 p.m. above Hall F, is open to 100 Best winners as well as all AGM members.
The reception saluting the 25 top public, private, resort and off-course facilities based on their promotions, sales volume, visual merchandising, etc., will feature entertainment by Decca Records recording stars One Flew South, whose harmony-driven songs include the Billboard hit “My Kind Of Beautiful.”
The program will also announce the recipients of individual shop awards, including Top Score and Best Entry.
The event will be immediately followed by the Association of Golf Merchandiser’s Product Preview and Reception, during which nearly 100 manufacturers will have display tables previewing show product. This unique networking opportunity and early peek at the show floor is also open to all PGA Merchandise Show buyers.
Golf World, sister publication to Golf Digest, will publish a full list of 100 Best Golf Shops in its Feb. 1, 2010 issue. Judging for the 2010 awards was a collaboration between the Association of Golf Merchandisers (AGM) and the magazine.
“We are pleased to join forces with Golf World in this important endeavor for our industry,” said AGM president Ken Morton Jr. “We hope that the entire industry will join us with this wonderful celebration of great retail operators and then celebrate the kickoff of the PGA Merchandise Show with the Product Preview & Reception.”
