SAN FRANCISCO, CA (January 12, 2010)-The definitive leader in luxury performance, Iconic™ Sport (www.iconicsport.com), has always incorporated sun protection as one the key elements in its product arsenal. In addition to an innovative assortment of sun protective accessories, most of the high fashion garments in the Iconic collection also offer built-in UPF 50+ sun protection.

Now, as part of its fifth year anniversary, Iconic™ Sport will feature a daily drawing for Iconic UPF 50+ sun protection apparel and accessories at the 2010 PGA Merchandise Show. In an effort to increase awareness and educate show attendees, Iconic will be offering a fun, informative, five-question quiz, and FAQ sheet on sun-smart behavior and cancer risks of sunburn and sun exposure. Anyone taking the quiz will be eligible for the daily raffle for Iconic sun protection products.

Ever a leader in high fashion and high performance, Iconic™ Sport has long been at the forefront of offering upscale styling with a purpose. “Certainly sun protection has always been an integral part of our product mix,” said Iconic founder and designer, Leslie Chow. “According to the American Cancer Society, skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States, and so much of it is preventable with adequate sun protection.”

Iconic brand ambassador, seven-time LPGA winner, and noted fashion plate, Michelle McGann will be appearing in the Iconic booth on Thursday, January 28th, from 1-2 pm to meet fans, sign autographs, and talk about Iconic. “Sun protection was one of the first things that attracted me to the line,” said McGann. “The cumulative effects over time are a major concern for golfers.”

Highly lauded over the years in numerous publications for its combination of technical enhancement and elegant styling, Iconic™ Sport continues to add prestigious new retail accounts, and see increased sales, even during the current economic downturn.

Presenting an assortment of new styles and new fabrics, along with updates of its most popular standards and basics, Iconic™ Sport will be in booth #4085 at the 2010 PGA Fall Merchandise Show, January 28-30. ###
