BALTIMORE, MD. – JANUARY 11, 2010 – STX, world-renowned as an industry pioneer in putter innovation, and for its patented Soft Face Insert Technology, announced that the company will be exhibiting at the 2010 PGA Merchandise Show at the Orange County Convention Center on Thursday, January 27th through Saturday, January 30th. In addition, STX is participating in the Golf Demo Day at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge in Winter Garden, FL.
“We are looking forward to this PGA event. It presents us with an opportunity to personally launch our new product line and meet with some of the most influential professionals in the business,” said STX Director of Golf Steve Henneman. “STX has gained some serious momentum since re-launching the brand a year ago and this show is an essential step in continuing our growth.”
STX will introduce its new ProFIT 6 mallet putter, a striking modern mallet with angular lines. It is the latest STX putter introduction from their popular ProFIT™ Series. STX introduced the ProFIT series of interchangeable insert putters in the late 90’s and now their design team has developed several highly engineered putters that feature both interchangeable inserts and weights.
According to Henneman, “The ability to adjust the putter according to personal preferences and course conditions is a huge advantage. The PGA Professionals have the luxury of changing or customizing their putters based on what golf course they are playing, now the everyday golfer can do the same. Come out to the demo day to see firsthand the benefits of the ProFIT Series.”
STX invites all attendees to visit the STX booth #1113 located in the Equipment Hall or

About STX:
STX is acknowledged as being the golf industry’s foremost authority on insert face technology. Over a quarter century ago, the company introduced the first patented soft face elastomer insert, creating the “softest legal face in golf.” In the mid-90s the company’s research and development team introduced the first USGA approved interchangeable face insert and removable weight system. Both these and other innovations have helped create the standards for putter design today.
Behind the company’s uniquely styled putter heads is Robert “Bob” Engman, STX Putters’ Chief Club Designer. A world-renowned sculptor with works in the Hirshhorn Museum, the Whitney Museum and the Museum of Modern Art, Bob is also a three-time senior champion at Merion Golf Club in Philadelphia.
