SCOTTSDALE, AZ – (January 15, 2010) – If you are a classic car collector who loves Loudmouth Golf and the new Cherry Bomb pattern, now is your chance to drive it!
Giving new meaning to the term “muscle car” LoudMouth Golf, the designer of outrageous golf wear, in association with Alice Cooper, the rock musician known for his equally outrageous showmanship, have collaborated to restore and auction a classic 1969 Pontiac GTO next week at the nation’s most prestigious classic car auction held in Scottsdale from January 18-24, the Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auction.
The Pontiac Red vintage beauty, restored by Alice Cooper Classic Cars and LoudMouth Golf, is a pristine 400 factory four barrel with all the original panels. The GTO is a matching number car, featuring a Ram Air Big Block 4 Barrel with wings. It is decked out with Loudmouth’s Cherry Bomb accents and fabric covering the interior of the trunk. The car comes with a John Daly tour bag, also in the same Cherry Bomb pattern, signed by the PGA’s John Daly.
Alice Cooper will personally introduce the LoudMouth Golf Pontiac GTO during the auction on January 23rd from 7:00-9:00pm MST, which takes place as part of the renowned Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Event. Not to disappoint, Cooper will wear a full tux with tails designed in Cherry Bomb fabric during the auction.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to support Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock Foundation which uses music to help teenagers and children navigate through adolescence. Alice Cooper Classic Cars is also auctioning a 1936 Lincoln Zephyr at the event named after Cooper’s #1 selling album “Billion Dollar Baby”.
The LoudMouth Golf/Alice Cooper Classic car partnership was initiated by Cooper, a long-time ambassador for LoudMouth Golf apparel and a classic car aficionado. Cooper, who serves on the elite LoudMouth Golf Advisory Board, chose the Cherry Bomb pattern as the perfect blend of LoudMouth style and fabulous classic car design.
“Coop came up with the idea to merge the two concepts, and this LoudMouth themed ’69 Pontiac GTO is the culmination of his vision,” said Larry Jackson, CEO of LoudMouth Golf. “Alice Cooper and LoudMouth Golf are all about having fun – and this is a FUN car!”
Alice Cooper had this to say, “This car is no nightmare (but you are Welcome To My Nightmare) because it is a dream to drive! I love the fact that we have been able to combine a classic muscle car with LoudMouth style and flair.”
Chip Saggau, co-founder of Alice Cooper Classic Cars added, “The car is Pontiac Red with a black interior, and fully restored. Coop and I both believe this is the best driving car we have ever restored! It still has the original engine and is as flawless as it was in 1969.”
Jackson and Saggau will also be wearing Cherry Bomb sport coats and pants at the show. Think of it as a show of muscle in Pontiac red. Join the auction and bid on the first LoudMouth Classic Car in history by going online at www.barrett-jackson.com on January 23, lot # 1309.2.
