Heavy Putter Lite-Weight Series Earns Golf Digest 2010 “Hot List” Honor

(RIDGEFIELD, CT) – Boccieri Golf – maker of the TOUR-proven Heavy Putter – announces that its new LITE-WEIGHT Series has been named to the prestigious Golf Digest 2010 “Hot List,” the company’s fourth such honor in five years.

Consisting of four distinct putter models, the LITE-WEIGHT Series received high marks in the areas of “performance” and “innovation.” The line was specifically praised for its unique weighting system, which features added mass in the head and grip. At 600 total grams, these new styles weigh less than previous Heavy Putter models (750 – 900 grams) but more than standard offerings from other leading brands, which weigh approximately 500 grams.

Panelists’ comments about the LITE-WEIGHT Series – as published in Golf Digest’s February issue – include:

“Ratcheting down the weight was a good idea. I still feel it locking my hands in place.”
“I like the retro styles.”
“It’s almost impossible to turn your right hand over and yank it.”

“It’s tremendous to once again be recognized in the influential ‘Hot List,” says Stephen Boccieri, President and CEO of Boccieri Golf. “We’re very proud of the LITE-WEIGHT Series which has received rave reviews from Tour players and amateur testers. This is certainly a great way to build momentum for the official launch of this series of putters, as well as our other new, technologically-advanced products like the Heavy Wedge.”

Golf Digest’s annual “Hot List” list showcases equipment that has received the best reviews from the magazine’s panel of testers. A year-long process that begins with hundreds of clubs, the list is systematically reduced to the top putters, drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons and wedges.

The genesis of the LITE-WEIGHT series stems from PGA Tour player feedback, which conveyed a preference for an option that retained the benefits of the Heavy Putter on a lighter scale. When paired with existing Heavy Putter models – including the 750 gram MID-WEIGHT and 900 gram HEAVY-WEIGHT series – the new styles provide a putter for every preference.

In addition to the LITE-WEIGHT Series, Boccieri Golf also recently introduced new MID-WEIGHT and HEAVY-WEIGHT models. Available in a black PVD, with select styles showcasing a silver satin finish, all feature the company’s innovative system of added within the head and grip. This causes the body to engage its larger muscles for a consistent swing path, uniform pace, precise distance and directional control, as well as tightening end-over-end golf ball roll.

The new Heavy Putter models are:
