Company Will be at Booth 1529
Chattanooga, Tenn. (Jan. 20, 2010) – After a successful and eventful 2009, Scratch Golf Clubs has announced that it will be an exhibitor at the 2009 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Jan. 28-30.
Inside the convention hall, Scratch will highlight its product line at Booth 1529. Scratch also will participate in the Outdoor Demo Day at the Orange County National Golf Center on Jan. 27 in partnership with shaft distributer PGMC and its revolutionary KB Golf Shafts.
“The PGA Show has really been a springboard for our brand,” said Ari Techner, president and CEO of Scratch Golf. “As a smaller brand, we depend on the show to get our product in front of dealers and media that otherwise may never see our clubs.”
A lot has happened with Scratch Golf since the 2009 PGA Show. Cristie Kerr carried two Scratch Golf wedges to victory at the Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill, which was Scratch’s first victory on the LPGA Tour. Scratch recently announced that PGA TOUR professional Ryan Moore has become a part owner of the company and will play the clubs on the PGA TOUR. The 2009 Wyndham Championship winner put Scratch irons and wedges into play late last season and closed with three consecutive top-10 finishes and entered the top 50 in the World Golf Rankings. Scratch finished the year with clubs in play on every major professional tour worldwide, including the PGA, Champions, Nationwide, LPGA, Futures, Hooters, eGolf, Gateway, European PGA, European Challenge and European LPGA Tours.
In addition to the professional success, Don White, the Professional Clubmakers Society Hall of Fame member who personally ground 14 sets of irons used to win major championships, joined the Scratch team this month and will be grinding custom wedges and irons for customers.
Scratch will display its full retail wedge and iron line as well as many custom clubs at their booth. Notable clubs include the Scratch 8620 wedge, which was recently a recipient of a Gold Medal from Golf Digest’s annual Hot List rankings. Scratch executives and sales team, as well as Don White, will be available all three days of the exhibition.
Since its inception in 1954, the PGA Merchandise Show has become the world’s most influential golf trade show and the global summit for the business of golf. More than 40,000 industry professionals from some 75 countries will source the newest golf merchandise from nearly 1,000 golf vendors within one million gross square feet of interactive exhibit space of the Orange County Convention Center, Jan. 28-30, 2010.
