Design-Build Firm Further Recognized as Category, Industry Leader
(OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.) — Tom Hoch Design’s “golf smart” design expertise and talent at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Dove Mountain has been recognized by Golf Inc., as the clubhouse was named “Clubhouse of the Year” in the magazine’s private club category.
With numerous Ritz-Carlton projects to its credit and noted as a category leader in golf and hospitality design, Tom Hoch Design worked in concert with Suzanne Urban, director/principal designer at Studio 4 Design; project director, Richard Frazee and Club ownership to design and build the various specialty built-ins, cabinetry and artisan furniture for the clubhouse interior. Highlights included the design and outfitting of the golf shop, custom bar cabinetry, state of the art wine room, custom wood lockers, and other custom artisan casework pieces.
Blending naturally into the majestic saguaro cactuses in the panoramic Tortolita Mountain Range north of Tucson, Arizona, The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Dove Mountain’s ranch-style clubhouse is a contemporary design augmented with a notable Southwestern flare. Its Sonoran elegance complements the onsite Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, host of the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship and one of the best new courses of 2009 as selected by Golfweek and GOLF Magazine.
