A press conference will be held on Thursday, January 28th at 11:00 am in Room 312 AB. On hand to discuss the licensing agreement with Williams and their new line of golf equipment will be Michael Lee, Josh Trivett and Stewart Hsu from Williams Sports.
Williams Sports will be introducing three Series of clubs: the Players Series, Gold Series and Black Diamond Series, as well as an extensive line of accessories for 2010. The entire product line will feature benefits and attributes that will be directly related to the design and performance that has made Williams F1 one of the most successful teams in Formula One. Williams Formula One utilizes the engineering of materials and components to push the limits of performance to ensure the success required to sustain their competitive position in the sport. Williams Sports will be utilizing the same engineering aspects to push the performance limits of design and materials to create a brand that offers products unseen to the golf industry in the past. Williams Sports will be utilizing the extensive team of Williams’ engineers and testing equipment to create the most highly advanced golf products while testing all critical design aspects to ensure the product is the best the industry has to offer.
The Player Series
The Player Series will be aimed at the core global golfer. This line will be the lifeline of the Williams Sports product line. This series will feature equipment designed for the everyday golfer that seeks the highest in quality and performance from their equipment. This line will be the platform for all series of equipment that Williams Sports produces. This series will target 75% of the global golfing population. This will set the bar for bar of excellence in the golf industry in all aspects of design, performance, and production.
The Gold Series
The Gold Series is targeted to the Asian and Far East market that desire certain qualities unique to their region. This series will feature a higher price point than the “Player Series” and will have some upgraded features such as Super Lightweight shafts and glamorous gold finish that will cater to the Asian consumers. Actual equipment will be designed and produced to specs that are necessary for the highest performance.
The Black Diamond Series
The Williams team of engineers understands the core basis and essentials of performance. Its crucial for all performance based equipment to be designed around the individual operating it, whether its a Formula One race car or a golf club. At Williams F1, a custom seat is created to mold perfectly to the driver’s body. From there, the engine and suspension are engineered to match the style and characteristics of the driver. The Williams Sports Black Diamond Series will feature the same formula for performance and success. This is not just a club series…this is The Ultimate Golf Experience! Understanding each individual golfers needs are unique, a Williams expert club maker will custom fit and tailor each piece of equipment to the specific needs of the player. Maximizing and utilizing all fitting aspects will ensure the highest level of success that the Black Diamond Series can offer. The player will also receive a personalized 100% Italian leather custom Williams golf bag handmade in Italy by Schedoni, and will be a VIP Guest of the team of any F1 event of his choosing..
