Sally Hendron And Janet McKinley Join 2010 Board
Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., January 25, 2010 – Lisa Lifer of Hackettstown, NJ has been named 2010-2011 President of the Board of Directors for the EWGA (Executive Women’s Golf Association), an international women’s golf organization dedicated to connecting women to learn, play and enjoy golf for business and fun. Joining the EWGA board of directors in 2010 are Sally R. Hendron of Chicago, Illinois and Janet McKinley of Townsend, Tennessee.
Lifer is director, global quality improvement for Merck & Co., Inc., an innovative global healthcare leader. She has more than 25 years of process improvement, quality assurance, and information technology experience in the pharmaceuticals industry, primarily with Schering-Plough which recently merged with Merck. She is a graduate of Harvard University with a MBA from New York University, Leonard N. Stern School of Business. From the Northern New Jersey EWGA Chapter, Lifer has held numerous EWGA volunteer leadership positions including chapter president, sectional director and as a member of the association board since 2005.
Other officers of the 2010 EWGA Board of Directors are Secretary/Treasurer Sandra L. Cross, director, business development, PGA of America, the PGA representative on the board and member of the Fort Lauderdale, FL Chapter; and Immediate Past President Karen Furtado, partner, Smallwood, Maike & Associates and member of the Southern New Hampshire Chapter.
Hendron, a consultant with the Aviant Group and member of the Chicago Metro EWGA Chapter was elected to a three year term. With an extensive business development background for several US Fortune 500 companies, she now focuses on executive education programs for business schools worldwide. Most recently she worked with the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University on marketing strategies to increase their executive education participation. An avid golfer and former US Amateur competitor, Sally carries a four handicap.
McKinley retired from the BellSouth Corporation as the chief corporate auditor and has served on the EWGA Foundation Board of Directors since 2006. She was recognized as the 2005 EWGA Businesswoman of the Year and is a member of the Atlanta chapter. She will serve a one year term.

The EWGA Board of Directors is responsible for leading and governing the EWGA, establishing its goals and policies; ensuring strategic planning; and providing fiduciary oversight of the association. The EWGA board representative from the USGA is Ede Rice, USGA women’s committee and member of Minnesota Metro Chapter; the LPGA board representative is Carol Corcoran, chief administrative officer, LPGA, member of the Daytona Beach Area, FL chapter; the media/ communications representative Jon Last, founder and president of Sports and Leisure Research Group, member of Westchester, NY Chapter; and the business and industry representative Kathy O’Neal, senior vice president, ClubCorp of the Dallas Chapter. Pam Swensen is the CEO of the EWGA.
