El Segundo First To Name An Official Ball In Its Efforts To Go Green
MESA, Ariz. – Dixon Golf CEO William Carey announced today that its Dixon Earth golf ball has been named “The Official Golf Ball” of the city of El Segundo, Calif.
The Dixon Earth ball is the world’s first high performance, 100 percent eco-friendly golf ball, and is made from renewable materials that can be recycled into items like field turf and playground equipment.
In its continuing efforts to go green, the city will set up Dixon Golf recycling centers at various area golf courses and at City Hall where people can exchange used golf balls for credits toward the purchase of new Dixon Golf balls.

We look forward to holding many recycling events to assist them in their efforts.”
El Segundo becomes the first city in the United States to adopt an official golf ball, and this is just one of many green initiatives that El Segundo has implemented in recent months.
