Meet famous putting coach to PGA Tour star Zach Johnson; SeeMore also introducing exciting new line of putters
The SeeMore Putter Company, building on its impressive growth in 2009, is proud to welcome SeeMore Ambassador Pat O’Brien to booth 521 at the PGA Merchandise Show. O’Brien will be on hand Thursday and Friday to meet customers and offer putting insights. SeeMore will also introduce several exciting new product lines at the show.
“We look forward to a busy show in Orlando this week as worldwide demand for our putters is at an all time high, said Jim Grundberg, Managing Partner of the SeeMore Putter Company. The New 100% USA milled DB4 with RST2 technology has created more excitement than any putter we have ever introduced. It is a simple, effective, innovative twist on a classic design, expanding the benefits of SeeMore’s patented RifleScope Technology (RST) to a classic blade with offset hosel for the first time.”
SeeMore is also introducing the New SiSeries, offering the benefits of it’s proven alignment system to players preferring the softer feel and performance characteristics of a face insert putter. Equally exciting, SeeMore is expanding its flagship mSeries line to include the m6, m7 and m8. SeeMore’s mSeries putters have been regarded by many of the most avid players in the world as the perfect combination of precision alignment technology and the feel and balance of a 100% milled putter.
RST Technology
SeeMore’s patented RST, known by a visible gun sight on the top line, allows the golfer to set up the putter perfectly each and every time in relation to the intended target line. This is accomplished by lining up the black bottom portion of the shaft between two white lines and covering a signature red dot on the heel of the top line. The process is like locking radar onto a target. The two parallel white sight lines frame the shaft and serve as an indicator that the golfer is in perfect position to make a consistent and reliable stroke.

* The major story in 2009 on tour for SeeMore was the continued excellence of Johnson finishing 4th on the PGA Tour Money List with earnings of $4.7 million, a new career high.
* He established himself as one of the greatest players in the world with 3 victories over a 12-month stretch, including the 2008 and 2009 Valero Texas Opens and the 2009 Sony Hawaiian Open, to add to his 2007 Masters victory and 6 overall tour titles.
* He also recorded the lowest round of the year on the PGA Tour in 2009, a 60 in the 3d round at the Texas Open, which makes him the only player in the history of the PGA tour to have 2 career rounds of 60 or better, his first 60 coming in the 3d round of the 2007 Tour Championship at East Lake.
* Johnson’s pair of 60’s is the last 2 rounds of 60 or better on the entire PGA tour.
SeeMore originally became recognized when Payne Stewart won the 1999 U.S. Open playing a SeeMore putter. Stewart one-putted the last three holes to win the championship by one stroke. He sunk what’s considered to be the longest putt in Open history on the 18th hole to win the tournament. Stewart also won the putting title for fewest putts per round over the entire 1999 season. The brand was re-launched in 2007, and immediately regained worldwide prominence as Zach Johnson used a SeeMore FGP to win the 2007 Masters. Johnson also set the all-time putting record on the Nationwide Tour for the entire season in 2003 (1.699 putts/GIR).
Pat O’Brien
The lessons and teaching philosophy are based on O’Brien’s study of Payne Stewart and his record-breaking performance, including the US Open championship in 1999. They also reflect his teaching experience with Masters Champion, Ryder Cup team member and Nationwide Tour putting record holder Zach Johnson and fellow Ryder Cup team member and perennial PGA Tour putting statistics leader Vaughn Taylor.
He also one-putted the last three holes to win the championship by one stroke, and sunk what’s considered to be the longest putt in Open history on the 18th hole to win the championship by one shot. He also won the overall putting title for fewest putts per round over the entire 1999 season. O’Brien developed a simple theory on putting and the putting pendulum or arc stroke before this putting system became popular.
In 2000, O’Brien began working with Taylor and Johnson and coached them as they advanced from the Hooters tour to the Nationwide tour, PGA tour and the Ryder Cup in six years, based on the strength of consistently good putting. In addition to Masters championships, shooting a course record 60 at the Tour Championship, qualifying for the Ryder Cup team and winning five times on Tour, Zach Johnson and Vaughn Taylor have also both won tour putting titles in the past four years using SeeMore putters.
In fact, following in Stewart’s footsteps (Payne was #1 in fewest putts per round in 1999 and #2 in putts per GIR), Johnson won the putting title in 2003 on Nationwide tour with fewest putts per GIR (1.699), and Taylor had the best putting average (1.725) of PGA tour top 40 money list in 2006.
