AB Golf Designs Tips Its Hat

(SCOTTSDALE, AZ) – AB Golf Designs – the market leader for attention-grabbing specialty head covers and accessories – will premier its new Throwback collection of eco-friendly, traditionally-styled head covers at the PGA Merchandise Show, booth #2555, Jan. 28-30 in Orlando.

Crafted from “green” materials more durable than wool, the classic striped knit stockings with pom-pom top are available in a variety of color combinations and sizes for woods, hybrids and putters. This introduction coincides with the ongoing re-branding of AB Golf Designs, formerly known as Butthead Covers, and the expansion of its offerings beyond whimsical “bottoms-up” themed products.

“For years, AB Golf has been known for its unique head covers, and now we’re the first to really introduce an environmentally-friendly line to the market,” says co-owner Chip Burley. “In response to requests from consumer and corporate customers, the truly classic styling of these head covers offers the retro look of the knit design that remains tremendously popular with players of all ages at a very attractive price.”

Although the fabric looks and feels like wool, the Throwback collection is made from polyester fibers crafted from recycled plastic bottles. This manufacturing process helps to diminish dependence on oil and minimize waste, in turn limiting toxic emissions from incinerators. Additionally, it reduces air, water and soil contamination.

“As we continue to enter new categories, our goal is to offer something for everyone,” adds co-owner D.J. Langer. “With our distinctive combination of traditional and novelty styles, which are customizable for the corporate and tournament markets, we’re able to appeal to a wide variety of personalities.”

Additional highlights of AB Golf Designs’ expanded line include a Pink Ribbon cover benefitting breast cancer research, an appetizing cheeseburger and patriotic boxing gloves showcasing the American, English or Australian flag.
