Player switches driver shaft to Aldila’s RIP™ and finishes 2nd in Driving Accuracy

POWAY, Calif. – Led by their newest shaft, the RIP™, and their number one shaft, the VooDoo® featuring S-Core Technology, Aldila won the woods and hybrids shaft manufacturer counts on the PGA Tour for the second consecutive week, according to the Darrell Survey. This week at the Bob Hope Classic, “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” lived up to their reputation as they scorched the competition winning both shaft counts by nearly a 2-to-1 over the next leading competitor.
Since its debut on Tour last season, players have been switching to the RIP and experiencing dramatic results in their driving distance and accuracy. This week, the 18th place finisher at the Bob Hope Classic made the switch to the RIP in his driver and improved his driving accuracy average from a 55.36 percent to 86.8 percent. The 33-year-old from Sweden went from 13th in driving accuracy last week to finishing third this week.
The RIP is Aldila’s latest shaft technology that provides lower torque, increased tip stability and better tips stiffness control. After very successful testing on Tour with multiple wins, the RIP will be introduced soon through leading club manufacturers.
The VooDoo features Aldila’s patent-pending S-core, or stabilized core, is designed to maximize distance and provide outstanding accuracy. The VooDoo has a one-piece high modulus carbon stabilization rib running the length of the shaft. This innovative rib structure keeps the shaft more concentric, preventing shaft ovaling, deformation and wasted energy during the golf swing. Because the shaft’s symmetry is maintained throughout the swing, it loads and unloads more consistently, enabling players to more reliably deliver the club head to the ball every swing.
Aldila has the unique ability to fuse high-end design with cutting edge technology. They are continually on the leading edge of the golf world through their relentless pursuit of the next best innovation.
