Sanford, FL – RIFE Putters announced today that they’ll be debuting their new Deep Blue putter, a recent recipient of a 2010 Golf Digest’s Hot List Award, in Booth #1017 at the 2010 PGA Merchandise Show, held January 28th – 30th in Orlando, FL..
About The Deep Blue
As the name implies the weight is positioned “deep” in the rear corner giving the new “Deep Blue” extreme stability and an MOI of over 6,000. To help keep the weight rearward the face is CNC milled out of ultra light 6061 aluminum. At only a third the weight of steel, this ¾” thick insert delivers a solid feel and sound at impact. The side rails are also hollowed out underneath leaving the thickest mass of stainless steel in the two rear corners. Besides stability, high MOI putters tend to feel much lighter than their actual weight. The Deep Blue has a swing weight of F2 but only feels like a D7. The lighter feel provides for excellent distance control while the forward momentum of the heavier mass keeps the putter head moving thru impact and virtually eliminates deceleration, the #1 fault in putting.
As with every RIFE putter the Deep Blue features RIFE’s patented RollGrooveTM face technology that produces immediate no-skid roll allowing the ball to track on its intended line and giving the golfer superior distance control.
The Deep Blue also features the RIFE lie angle alignment system. The top center notch can be aligned with the lower center sight line to give the golfer a consistent setup at address promoting a consistent stroke path. This allows for greater accuracy.
How a putter looks at address can be as important as any technology. In designing the Deep Blue Guerin Rife has used clean, simple right angle shapes to give the golfer an excellent visual target line reference. The front face portion provides a strong heel-to-toe square shape for those who prefer a perpendicular target line reference. This is backed by square rails also on the heel and toe with three front-to-rear alignment lines directly behind the ball, all parallel to the target line. Unlike other high tech putters the Deep Blue has an elegant, uncomplicated look while delivering more technology than any other putter on the market.
All of RIFE’s Putters offer the same patented RollGrooveTM Technology and patent pending Lie-Aline System.
RIFE Putters, LLC is the true innovator behind horizontal grooved face putter technology with a patent on specifically sized grooves since 1997. These precisely spaced grooves allow the putter to gently press into the cover of the ball and grip and lift it into an instant forward roll. Guerin Rife states, “just as grooves in irons help control spin so do grooves in a putter face.” Other companies are now trying to imitate this patented technology but the spacing of the grooves is the true key to the gripping and lifting effect of grooved face putter technology. Horizontal RollGrooveTM faced putters create the truest “no skid” roll in golf no matter where you hit the ball on the putter face.
