Three of the industry’s most experienced editors have joined the Golf Inc. editorial staff as contributing editors, the magazine announced Feb. 9th. Scott Kauffman, Bruce Buckley and Trevor Ledger will report on the latest trends in management, development, sales, and finance and operations, and provide insightful commentary.
“We have brought together the most knowledgeable and savviest reporters in the industry” said Jack Crittenden, Editor In Chief. “Golf Inc. will provide more depth, and insight than ever before.”
Scott Kauffman was an editor with Superintendent News from its launch until 2004. He has also been a full-time reporter with USA TODAY and The Orlando Sentinel, and articles have appeared in numerous other titles, including the Robb Report Vacation Homes, Fairway Living and Florida Travel & Life. He is based in Orlando, Florida and will write about development, operations and turf.
Bruce Buckley was an editor with Golf Inc. from 1999 until 2004. He was an editor in chief with McGraw-Hill, working on a construction title, and has since reported for numerous business-to-business titles. He is based in Washington, DC., and will cover golf course sales, finance and management companies.
Trevor Ledger was Editor in Chief for Golf Course News International for several years and more recently The Golf Course Magazine. He is based in Scotland, and will cover development and operations outside of the U.S.
Golf Inc announced two weeks ago that it will publish four print and digital issues in 2010, and six issues in 2011. It also recently announced a strategic partnership with Crittenden Conferences, which includes shifting operation of the conference to Crittenden, and re-launching the Golf Business and Real Estate newsletter.
“The newsletter and our website will report breaking news and updates on the industry’s key players,” Jack Crittenden said. “The magazine will focus on trends and commentary – making it the premiere thought-leader source in the industry.”
Jack Crittenden has been the lead editor of Golf Inc. since 1998. Michelle Weyenberg is Managing Editor and will oversee judging of all competitions.
