Atlanta, GA – TGA – Premier Junior Golf, one of the leading initiatives to grow the game of golf and the largest national after-school junior golf program in the country, has expanded a second franchise around Atlanta, Georgia. This new TGA territory is the second franchise in the area that is owned and operated by Atlanta native Chris Knobloch.
Knobloch, who first became a TGA owner in 2005, has recognized a wonderful opportunity with TGA to teach young kids the game of golf and help to grow the game of golf in a unique setting directly in the schools. He has successfully grown his North Atlanta based junior program into one of the premier programs in the country.
“I started with TGA in it’s early stages and recognized quickly that this was a great opportunity for a PGA Professional, not only as a successful business, but also to grow the game of golf for the future and working with young kids in developing the education and life skills associated with the programs. It is very rewarding,” said Knobloch.
Knobloch has introduced the specialized TGA in school after-school golf enrichment program to over 2,400 kids over the past four years, which has allowed him to expand into more schools in the region thus creating the demand for a second franchise.
“Adding a second TGA franchise became a natural progression. As my programs continued to grow, more and more parents from other schools and districts were asking for the popular after-school golf enrichment programs in their own schools,” said Knobloch. “I am very excited about what TGA has been able to do in the Atlanta area and the impact we are having on kids. We are now recognized locally as the place to start kids out with junior golf instruction and learning the game of golf.”
A PGA Member since 1995, Knobloch has had a successful career as a PGA Professional including Head Professional status at Reynolds Plantation and currently the Co-Director of Instruction for the Affiniti Golf Academy, which operates nine facilities in the Southeast. He also teaches locally at the Steel Canyon Golf Club in Sandy Springs.
U.S. Kids Golf, one of the leading manufacturers of junior golf equipment, listed Knobloch among the “U.S. Kids Top 50 Teachers” in the country. This marked the second year in a row that Knobloch earned the well-deserved Top 50 status.
“As a PGA Professional, Chris is realizing the demand for structured, affordable and accessible youth programs that grow the game of golf,” said Joshua Jacobs, President and CEO of TGA – Premier Junior Golf. “Chris continues to exponentially grow his number of school based programs in his region, thus impacting thousands of youth through our five-level education based curriculum.”

About TGA-Premier Junior Golf
TGA-Premier Junior Golf, formally Total Golf Adventures, was founded in 2003 with the mission to provide all K-8th grade students with access to the game of golf through the first national at-school, after-school Golf Enrichment Program. TGA puts more than 90,000 students through its programs annually. There are TGA programs in over 20 states with more than 2,300 schools participating across the United States.
TGA breaks down the traditional barriers of inconvenience and high cost when golf is brought to children through their schools. TGA’s five-level Golf Enrichment Program, developed by PGA and LPGA golf professionals in coordination with top PhD’s in education and curriculum development, teaches the fundamentals, rules and etiquette of golf. It also promotes education and golf’s life values through its character development initiative, “Play the Fair Way with TGA.” TGA is a USGA-approved program under the Rules of Amateur Status.
TGA is endorsed and named as the official junior golf initiative by the National High School Golf Coaches Association (NHSGCA): is a national supporting organization of the After School Alliance and Lights on AfterSchool, a corporate advocate and a partner of the President’s Challenge on Physical Fitness; and is a partner with the Southern California PGA Section and Northern California PGA Section.
