Norcross, GA (February 18, 2010) – Mizuno, the leader in golf innovation and technology, introduces the new MP Titanium™ fairway woods with Hot Metal technology. Innovative, multi-piece Titanium construction creates an extremely low and forward COG, which results in an optimal launch with low spin. The sought after combination delivers ideal trajectory with precise distance control. Furthermore, a Hot Metal™ forged Beta Titanium face with CORTECH™ design provides near USGA limit COR numbers for amazing ball speed and an extremely hot feel that can’t be matched.

A Tour confirmed, compact head shape with a slightly open face is extremely pleasing to the eye, and generous sole relief provides maximum versatility from anywhere on the course. Cutting edge, five-piece Titanium construction and a strategically placed 100g center weight plate maximize COR AREA and create an ultra-low sweet spot for a perfect, mid-high launch and low spin, resulting in extremely long and accurate fairway wood shots.

“The multi-piece Titanium construction utilized in the MP Titanium allowed us to accomplish things that simply aren’t possible with more traditional fairway wood designs,” said Dick Lyons, Vice President and General Manager, Mizuno USA Golf Division. “The Hot Metal Beta Ti face provides COR numbers that are approaching that of a driver, and you’ll definitely notice an explosive, powerful feel at impact. In addition, the MP Titanium is very much a player’s design, which makes it possible to work the ball in all directions.”

The MP Titanium™ fairway woods will be offered in right hand with a 74-gram MRC Fubuki shaft engineered exclusively for Mizuno, and will be available in Strong 3 (13.5º), 3-wood (15º), and 5-wood (18º) models. Also standard on the MP Titanium will be the Golf Pride® M-21 Round grip. The suggested retail prices for the MP Titanium fairway woods are $300 in graphite. Custom options are available through Mizuno’s Custom Club department. Mizuno will begin shipping the MP Titanium fairway woods to accounts in February.
