Latest blog for Tour Resource Center’s College Tutorial written by Sally Austin, former coach of the University of North Carolina women’s golf team

JACKSONVILLE, Fl (February 23, 2010) — In the latest entry to its continuing series on College Golf, the new blog on http://tourresourcecenter.com concentrates on “How to Find the Best College Coach, and Team for You.” Written by former University of North Carolina Women’s Golf Coach Sally Austin, this new blog explores:

– Decide on what you are looking for in a school
– Find a coach that is a good fit
– Get to know the team

Austin, the 2004 LPGA Coach of the Year, strongly noted the most obvious objective for any student looking to continue playing golf in college, is for that person to, “improve his/her game and to have an incredible college experience”.

Other items Austin pointed out: Make a list of the things you want in a school and rank them, and visit the schools that meet your criteria. When you visit the school and speak to the coach, “be sure the coach knows your expectations and goals for golf, academics and outside interests.” Get to know the golfers on the team as best as you can, and ask questions so you understand their individual and team goals.

If you are the parent of a student who wants to play college golf, the college golf series on Tour Resource Center is a must read. The information is invaluable as you and your child will be making one of the most important decisions of his/her life, and you want to make sure you make the right decision, and the college golf tutorial provides in-depth information and suggests other sources for more information.
