Fourball Entry Fee Waived For PGA Professionals

WILMINGTON, N.C. (Feb. 23, 2010) – PerryGolf announced its third Heritage Fourball event will include rounds at Royal Dornoch, Nairn and Castle Stuart in the Scottish Highlands along with an optional trip to the 38th Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor.

The Heritage Fourball, which will be played Sept. 26-29, is a pro-am with three amateurs playing alongside a PGA Professional. In past years teams from Scotland, Europe and the U.S. have competed in the event.

Fourball participants have the option of adding PerryGolf’s 2010 Ryder Cup tour, which includes accommodations onboard the exclusively chartered Le Diamant, a 226-pasenger ship berthed only five miles from Celtic Manor, site of the Ryder Cup matches. The Ryder Cup package includes a one-cabin category upgrade, travel credit of $500 and complimentary golf at St Pierre.

“This is a great opportunity for club members to thank their PGA Professional and enjoy a friendly competition at three of Scotland’s finest courses before taking in the action of the Ryder Cup,” said Gordon Dalgleish, president of PerryGolf, one of the travel industry’s best-respected tour operators.

A highlight of this year’s fourball event will be two rounds (including a practice round) at heralded Castle Stuart, the newest addition to the links courses of Scotland and rated by Golf Magazine as the best new international course to open in 2009.

Accommodations at the Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness, ground transportation, greens fees and social functions are included in the fourball entry fee of $2,895 per amateur. PerryGolf will waive the entry fee for the PGA Professional on each team.

Prices for Ryder Cup 2010 start at $4,795 per person and include five nights’ accommodations onboard Le Diamant, breakfast and dinner daily, entrance tickets plus transfers Thursday to Sunday to the Ryder Cup matches.
