Five-day instructional course targets first-time/inexperienced golfers
(TALLAHASSEE, Fla.) – SouthWood Golf Club – the award-winning Fred Couples and Gene Bates designed course owned by The St. Joe Company and managed by Billy Casper Golf – announces it will host two sessions of “Get Golf Ready” group lessons beginning Wednesday, March 17 and Thursday, March 18, each running from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and lasting five consecutive weeks.
“Get Golf Ready” is the nationally-branded program created and administered by the World Golf Foundation (“WGF”) that targets millions of U.S. adults who have never played golf, have minimal previous connection to the game or need rejuvenation after a hiatus. Designed to be conducted in comfortable and enjoyable settings, participants are provided background and skills training on rules, etiquette and values, and a series of five introductory lessons in small groups, which are guided by trained PGA and LPGA professionals.
