LEMONT, Ill., March 3, 2010 – Cog Hill Golf & Country Club’s Learning Center has been named one of the Top 100 Golf Ranges in America for 2010 by Golf Range Magazine.
Cog Hill’s Learning Center was designed with input from renowned golf instructors Jim Flick, Davis Love Jr., Jack Lumpkin and Peter Kostis. It is open year round with a large natural grass hitting area, target greens and a well-groomed short game area with chipping, bunker and putting greens. The Learning Center has 25 covered and heated hitting bays so that golfers can practice in the winter or during inclement weather. It also has a private teaching tee and short game area with three practice greens.

Cog Hill’s Learning Center offers instructional programs from beginners to highly competitive amateurs, including the popular “No Embarrassment Golf Schools” program. Entering its 20th year, this program is designed for adults to learn the game through a six-week program that includes instruction and on-course play. Cog Hill also offers private instruction by PGA teaching professionals who are ranked among the best in the state and have won numerous awards for their teaching excellence. Additionally, Cog Hill Learning Center hosts two multi-vendor demo days annually and offers club fitting sessions throughout the year.
Cog Hill’s Learning Center is open April 1 – October 31, Monday and Thursday 10 a.m. – dusk, and all other days dawn to dusk. Winter hours (Nov. 1 – March 31) are Monday and Thursday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and all other days, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
