Junior golfers looking to play in both junior and amateur golf tournaments now have access to both Web sites and over 3,800 golf tournaments
JACKSONVILLE, Fl (March 5, 2010) – Acting upon the requests of Junior Golfers and their parents, the Tour Resource Center is NOW permitting junior golfers looking to play in competitive Amateur Tournaments access to the men’s and women’s ranked amateur golf database.
Many golfers, still in the age bracket that allows them to compete in junior golf tournaments, but looking for stiffer competition and wanting to start accumulating points for major amateur events will be given special access to the amateur database without incurring additional charges.
These golfers, usually in the senior year of high school, need to start playing longer yardages, and need to be afforded the opportunity to accumulate points for highly-ranked amateur events such as the Walker Cup and Curtis Cup,” said TRC Founder and CEO Georgina Lewis. “This is a service that will help them find the tournaments they need to play in, and, help them prepare for college golf, and competitive amateur golf tournaments.”
Memberships to the junior golf area of the Tour Resource Center runs $29.95 per year, and gives junior golfers access to numerous items such as: an extensive database of junior golf events across the U.S. and Canada (with registration info, fees, applications, schedules, etc.); Tips on how to advance from level-to-level; playing tips and mental tips; information on the college game; and more. Up until now, if a junior golfer wanted to access the amateur ranked events, they would have to purchase a membership to the amateur section of the site for an additional $34.95 per year. However, after listening to many Junior Golfers and their Parents, the Tour Resource Center determined not giving junior golfers access would be a disservice, and, after all, the Tour Resource Center was created to help golfers of all abilities access information, tips, blogs, webinars, and more to help grow their games.
