(VIENNA, VA) – Billy Casper Golf (BCG) – owner and operator of more than 110 golf courses in 26 states – has promoted Nick Bednar to Southeast / Ohio Valley Regional Manager with direct operational oversight of 13 BCG properties in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and Ohio.
Starting with BCG in 2004 as Assistant Golf Professional at Billy Caldwell Golf Course (Chicago), Bednar has steadily assumed greater responsibilities. He took the reigns at Indian Boundary Golf Course (Chicago) before moving to Bear Creek Golf Club (Dallas). As General Manager of Bear Creek, Bednar has expertly guided the course through the recent economic downturn, growing daily-fee play and outing participation by more than 10 percent the past two years. He oversaw a significant clubhouse renovation in 2009 and has installed a strong, dedicated team infused with BCG culture that engenders superior customer service and attention to detail.
In his new position based in Ohio, Bednar’s main responsibilities are client relations, team leadership, budgeting and business planning, and liaising with the BCG corporate office.
“Nick is an extraordinarily successful general manager who will undoubtedly thrive in this new role,” says Peter Hill, Chairman and CEO of BCG. “He is testament to Billy Casper Golf attracting top talent, providing opportunities to flourish and promoting from within.”
“Billy Casper Golf has given me the tools and knowledge to successfully transition to a Regional Manager,” says Bednar. “It’s important, in an oversight capacity, to give our courses the support, encouragement and guidance they need to affect a return on investment for course owners.”
BCG turnkeys all aspects of golf course and property maintenance, staffing and training, clubhouse operations, food-and-beverage, merchandising, golf instruction, marketing and public relations, special events and financial management.
