CertiFresh Cigar, the hottest new product in cigar sales, has passed the 550-customer mark in only 14 months.
“To go from maybe 50 accounts at the 2009 Orlando PGA Show to 550 accounts today is unbelievable” says CertiFresh’s National Sales Manager, Geoff Stiles.
Included in those 550 accounts are major new customers like Pelican Hill Golf Club, Winged Foot Golf Club, Reynolds Plantation, Ballantyne Resort, Sandestin Resort, The Golf Club of Amelia Island, Coeur d’Alene Casino, and The Club at Cordillera.
“We ran out of catalogs, we ran out of business cards and we ran out of cigar samples at the PGA Show,” says Stiles. “We were inundated. The response to our cigar program in this economy has been way above our wildest dreams.”
Due to the explosive growth of CertiFresh in the last year, the company is now in talks with Greg Norman’s agents at CAA to bring out a line of Greg Norman cigars for green grass only. Norman has had massive success in golf, on and off the course. His signature line of clothing and wine are staples in the better privates and resorts.
“We are working closely with CAA and Oliva Cigars to bring a Greg Norman cigar to the market. As with Mr. Norman’s line of apparel and wine, only the finest handmade cigar will be released with his name” said Stiles.
Every CertiFresh® cigar comes individually packaged in a specially coated sleeve with a Humidpak® insert. The disposable Humidpak® insert is the only two-way device that keeps the cigar at a perfect 69 percent humidity for up to one year.
This allows golf courses to do away with space-eating and laborious humidors, and sell cigars from any location – the pro shop, beverage cart, bar & grille, card room, halfway house, etc.
Unlike most cigars found on golf courses, every CertiFresh® cigar is rated by Cigar Aficionado magazine at an 87 or higher. Every CertiFresh® cigar is hand rolled, nationally advertised and a major brand name and each is mild to medium in strength, and the very best quality.
The CertiFresh® product offers one other important benefit. By using a custom business card size advertisement in every CertiFresh® cigar package, the golf course operator can promote the course and make money from selling cigars.
CertiFresh® can also include a coupon message on the art card to drive sales to other parts of the operations. And, the card can be logo’d, perfect for corporate outings and giveaways.
