Golfweek pro-am to mark beginning of weeklong Outback event
TAMPA, Fla., (March 18, 2010) – The Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am today announced Golfweek magazine as the title sponsor of its 2010 opening event. Held April 12 at TPC Tampa Bay, the new Golfweek Pro-Am – which pairs renowned Champions Tour professionals with teams of amateur players for 18 holes of thrilling golf – will kick off the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am tournament’s weeklong series of events.

The Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am was the first-ever winner of the inaugural Champions Tour President’s Award (2006) that is given to the event that best exemplifies the Champions Tour commitment to presenting its product, charity and involvement in the community.
