(RIDGEFIELD, CT) – Boccieri Golf confirms that its renowned Heavy Putter increased market share by more than 50-percent during the months of January and February versus the previous year, as reported by Golf Datatech.
Despite the industry trend of declining equipment sales, the Heavy Putter has been rapidly adopted by discerning consumers and professionals worldwide, as evidenced by consistently strong sell-through at off-course shops. Sales have also been driven by the Heavy Putter purchase program, which leveraged increased production volume and significant economies-of-scale to make the line more affordable without impacting product quality.
“Our business is on an upward trajectory and poised for future growth, especially given tremendous initial response to our LITE-WEIGHT Series,” says Stephen Boccieri, President and CEO of Boccieri Golf. “Its new weighting option is the ideal complement to our existing models and assures we’re providing a putter for every preference.”
The LITE-WEIGHT Series was created following PGA Tour player feedback conveying a preference for a club retaining the benefits of the Heavy Putter on a lighter scale. Featuring a total weight of 600 grams – 100 grams more than standard putters from other leading brands – it is offered in five distinct options.
This option is joined by new MID-WEIGHT and HEAVY-WEIGHT models which are also available in a black PVD, with select styles showcasing a silver satin finish. All feature the company’s innovative system of added weight within the head and grip. This causes the body to engage its larger muscles for a consistent swing path, uniform pace, precise distance and directional control, as well as tightening end-over-end golf ball roll.
The new Heavy Putter models are:
