Golf’s first adjustable cleat also earns top 10 Finish at PGA Tour’s Shell Houston Open, while Softspikes brand captures plastic cleat field, outfitting 25 of the top 44 finishers
BRENTWOOD, Tenn., April 5, 2010 … The innovative Softspikes® BLACK WIDOW® Tour™, golf’s first adjustable cleat, captured its second Major victory in professional golf, as the winner of the LPGA’s Nabisco Championship donned the innovative new cleats.
As part of another stellar weekend in professional golf, the BLACK WIDOW® Tour™ cleats also celebrated a top 10 finish at the PGA TOUR’s Shell Houston Open, while the Softspikes brand overall captured the plastic cleat field with 71% player usage, including 21 of the top 27 finishers, according to the Independent Darrell Survey. Softspikes’ win at the Shell Houston Open also marked the third straight year the #1 Cleat on Tour captured the event.
