Newport, RI – Golf a la Carte, which recently announced its partnership with Speaking of Golf, is extending the deadline for recipe submissions for its Pacific Coast edition until June 10, 2010 because of the popularity of Golf a la Carte-the Southeast edition (Foreword by Arnold Palmer) and the demands of book signings and other appearances by the editors. In addition, Golf a la Carte-the TV Series, which will be hosted by Speaking of Golf’s Tom and Sonja Horan, has begun pre-production activities including venue selection and scripting.
Golf a la Carte-the Cook Book has decided to include recipes from Hawaiian golf clubs in its Pacific Coast edition (Foreword by Annika Sorenstam) in addition to featuring recipes from California, Oregon and Washington golf clubs and resorts. Details can be found at www.golfcookbook.com.
Speaking of Golf and Golf a la Carte are also working on future cookbooks, including a Far East edition, which will be prepared in anticipation of filming segments of the TV show at Asian golf facilities.
About Golf a la Carte
Golf a la Carte-the Cook Book has just released the first in a series, Golf a la Carte-The Southeast. The series will feature recipes from the finest golf facilities both in the United States and throughout the world. The second cook book in the series, Golf a la Carte-The Pacific Coast, is still accepting recipe submissions. Expanding its efforts to present recipes from the finest clubs into the global arena, Golf a la Carte will soon be seeking recipe submissions from golf facilities throughout the Far East.
Golf a la Carte-the TV Series is actively seeking venues for filming. The goal is to produce a series of ½ hour shows, with the footage from each location edited for a target market (golf, food and travel). Thus, potentially each club will have at least three media outlets in the domestic market, plus outlets throughout the world golf community. Host clubs will also have access to footage for their PR portfolio. Golf a la Carte, the Cook Book will serve as the basis for the TV shows, which will emphasize lifestyle associated with golf.
