BRADENTON, Fla. – Byeong-Hun “Ben” An, the current U.S. Amateur Champion, will proudly represent The Concession Golf Club at the Masters Tournament this week. An, a member of The Concession, will wear the club’s logo on his shirt and carry a bag with their name as well.
In 2009, the 17-year-old Korean native became the youngest winner of the U.S. Amateur Championship, earning him an invitation to the 2010 Masters Tournament. He moved to the United States in 2005 to attend the David Leadbetter Academy and currently takes lessons at the Jonathan Yarwood Golf Academy located on the grounds of The Concession.
Yarwood, long-time coach of the 2005 U.S. Open Champion and former instructor at the Leadbetter Academy for nine years, was recently named one of Golf Digest’s Top 20 Teachers Under 40 Years Old.
An played at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week in preparation for The Masters. He plans to play in a few other tournaments on the PGA Tour this year including the Memorial, the AT&T National, the Verizon Heritage and the British Open.
