Equipment and instruction apps compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad
NEW YORK, NY-Golf Digest has unveiled its first two mobile applications for Apple-based devices, one an equipment app based on the magazine’s popular Hot List franchise and the other an instruction app based on the magazine’s Tips Plus content. Both applications can be downloaded free of charge at the App Store page within iTunes (search: Golf Digest).
The “Hot List” app will allow users to build their virtual bags via a revolutionary new equipment resource, complete with interactive product reviews aimed to improve every aspect of their game. The “Tips Plus” app, sponsored by Jaguar, incorporates over 150 industry-leading video and static lessons featuring top teaching and playing talent from Golf Digest’s unrivaled archive of tips. It will allow users to design their own instruction programs, focusing on specific areas of game improvement that can be saved for future use at the range or on the course.
“The mobile extension of these two editorial features was a logical next step for us,” said John Marvel, Managing Editor of Golf Digest Digital. “Both the ‘Hot List’ and ‘Tips Plus’ apps speak to Golf Digest’s core objectives: helping our readers find the equipment best suited for their game and providing instruction from the best in the sport to help them play better golf.”
