Pelham, New York native to represent nationally-ranked Pete Dye-designed course
(POUND RIDGE, N.Y.) – Pound Ridge Golf Club – the nationally-ranked, Pete Dye-designed destination course 40 miles north of New York City – has entered a promotional partnership with rising Duramed FUTURES Tour star and Pelham, New York native Nannette Hill for the remaining 14 events of the 2010 season.
Under terms of the agreement, Hill will wear the Pound Ridge Golf Club logo on her hat, shirt, golf bag and umbrella while competing on tour. She joined the Duramed FUTURES tour in January, 2010 and has competed in three events this season, including T-12 at the Daytona Beach Invitational, in Daytona Beach, Florida.
“Nannette’s achievements on and off the golf course are a point of pride for Westchester County and New York, and she is the ideal representative for our golf course on the Duramed FUTURES Tour,” says Pound Ridge Golf Club owner Ken Wang.
“I am honored to partner with Pound Ridge Golf Club this season and look forward to utilizing the world-class, Pete Dye-designed layout as my home course for 2010,” says Hill.
A decorated amateur player, Hill was second team All-American at Wake Forest University where she recorded 16 top-10 finishes, including one win. She was named All-Atlantic Coast Conference multiple times and set a number of scoring marks during her Demon Deacon career. Hill was a three-time New York State Junior Champion and competed in seven U.S. Women’s Amateur Championships as well as the 2005 East Canon Cup.

Notable holes include the par-5, 13th – home to “Pete’s Rock,” a giant boulder that rests in the middle of the fairway – and the par-3 15th – dubbed “Headstone” – which is flanked on the right by a large rock outcropping that protrudes into the elongated, 9,000-square-foot putting surface.
